AN APPEAL TO HELP A FELLOW GOAN
am appealing to your generosity again, as we are trying to raise funds to cover the cost of repatriation and funeral arrangements for Anthony Jaques, who died suddenly in Zurich,
Switzerland.
Until recently, Anthony had a restaurant in Hounslow called “Jaques Café” and he went to Goa for treatment as he was unwell. When he got better, he went to Switzerland as he got a job offer and had been there for about an year. His death has come a shock to his family and, of course his many friends.
The family would like to repatriate Anthony’s body to Goa for burial there and the Trustees of the Goan Welfare Society (GWS) have agreed to help the family and with this is mind we are helping to raise the £8,000 needed for the repatriation.
As with our previous appeals, we are hoping for a generous response from the Community but particularly, from his many friends in the UK and elsewhere. Donations may be made by interbank transfer directly to GWS (see bank details below) or through the “GoFundMe” link: https://gofund.me/ce34adbfd
Cheque donations may be posted to our registered address below or handed to any Trustee of the GWS (Flavio Gracias, Paul De Mendonca, Norma Menezes-Rahim, Rosy De Souza & Jaine Endro). Cheques should be made payable to: The Goan Welfare Society UK, with your address on the reverse & reference: “A Jaques”
May I convey my sincere thanks for your help and our best wishes for a peaceful Easter!
God bless & keep safe!
FLAVIO GRACIAS, BEM.
