Antonio Pereira

AN APPEAL TO HELP A FELLOW GOAN

Dear Friends

ANTONIO PEREIRA, r.i.p.

I am appealing to your generosity again, as we are trying to raise funds to cover the cost of repatriation and funeral arrangements for Antonio Pereira, who passed away in Nothwwick Park Hospital, leaving behind a grieving wife and two school-going children.

Antonio, who hails from Agassaim, Goa, has not been able to work for the past six years as he was suffering from a debilitating brain condition and died from a stroke on 23 July 2026. I am calling on members of the community, in particular villagers from Agassaim, to help raise £3,000 to enable the family to take Antonio home to Goa for burial.

As with our previous appeals, we are hoping for a generous response from the large community but particularly, from his many friends in the UK and elsewhere. Donations may be made by interbank transfer directly to GWS (see bank details below) or through the “GoFundMe” link:

https://gofund.me/2170bef73

Cheque donations may be posted to our registered address below or handed to any Trustee of the GWS (Flavio Gracias, Paul De Mendonca, Norma Menezes-Rahim, Rosy De Souza & Rosy D’Silva). Cheques should be made payable to: The Goan Welfare Society UK, with your address on the reverse & reference: “Antonio Pereira”

May I convey my sincere thanks for your help and our best wishes for a peaceful summer!

God bless & keep safe!
