Deadline for application to the EU Settlement Scheme – 30 June 2021

The Consulate General of Portugal in London recalls that there are only 26 days to go before the deadline for applying for the EU Settlement Scheme.
All European citizens and their family members who have established their residence in the UK by 31 December 2020, including minors, must individually apply for either permanent resident (settled status) or provisional (pre-settled status) status, to maintain the rights they have after June 30, 2021.
It is possible to apply for the EU Settlement Scheme using the expired Citizen Card, even if this identification document has expired after the 24th of February 2020. Find out how here.
Citizens in need of support can contact the EU Settlement Resolution Center at the Home Office by calling 0300 123 7379 or using the contact form.
There are also organizations duly accredited by the Home Office that provide assistance to citizens with difficulties and a service of the European Union Delegation in the United Kingdom for free legal support. O Consulado Geral de Portugal em Londres relembra que faltam apenas 26 dias para terminar o prazo de candidatura ao EU Settlement Scheme.
Todos os cidadãos europeus e os seus familiares que tenham estabelecido a sua residência no Reino Unido até dia 31 de dezembro de 2020, incluindo menores, têm de candidatar-se individualmente ao estatuto de residente permanente (settled status) ou provisório (pre-settled status) para manterem os direitos de que dispõem após o dia 30 de junho de 2021.
É possível candidatar-se ao EU Settlement Scheme utilizando o Cartão de Cidadão caducado, mesmo que este documento de identificação tenha expirado após o dia 24 de fevereiro de 2020. Saiba como aqui.
Os cidadãos que necessitem de apoio, podem contactar o EU Settlement Resolution Centre, do Home Office, através do contacto telefónico 0300 123 7379 ou através do formulário de contacto.
Existem ainda organizações devidamente acreditadas pelo Home Office que prestam auxílio a cidadãos com dificuldades e um serviço da serviço da Delegação da União Europeia no Reino Unido para apoio jurídico gratuito.
