Franco De Souza

In conjunction with the GOAN CHAPLAINCY (London)

November 2020

Dear Friends

I am appealing to your generosity, as we are trying to raise funds to help with the cost of the funeral of Franco De Souza, who passed away on 13 November 2020 at Hillingdon Hospital, as a result of Covid-19. Franco who comes from Daman, India, leaves behind a widow and two young school-going children, in Southall. Our target is to raise £5,500.00 to defray the cost of the burial.

As with our previous appeals, we are hoping for a generous response from the Community at large and, If you feel inclined to help, then please send your donations by cheque to the above address made payable to the Goan Welfare Society UK. If you are a taxpayer, please endorse your cheque on the back “gift aid” and give us your address.

Cash or cheque donations may be handed to any Trustee of the GWS (Flavio Gracias, Paul De Mendonca, Norma Menezes-Rahim, Alfred Rebello & Rosy De Souza) or to Fr Patrick De Souza, the Goan Chaplain. You may now make donations by “PayPal” through our website: The family have set up a “GoFundMe” page.

May I convey my sincere thanks for your help and our best wishes to all for a peaceful festive season, despite the difficulties brought about by the dreadful Coronavirus.
God bless & keep safe
