Anna D’Souza, fondly known to all as ‘Bella’, was born on 12th January 1933. Formerly from Mombasa & Nairobi, she sadly passed away after a short battle with Alzheimer’s Dementia on 20 May 2026, at Westcliff-on-Sea. Known for her independence, sense of humour and no-nonsense character, Bella always said what she meant and meant what she said.
Beloved Mother to Bruce, Burton and Marciano. Grandmother to Keoni and Ripley. Daughter of Maria and Joseph D’Souza. Sister to Max, John, Vincy and Ornie.
The funeral will take place on Thursday, 25th June 2026 at 12.00noon at Our Lady Help of Christians and St Helen Church, 27 Milton Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex SS0 7JP. The family requests No flowers, please!
The church service will be followed by Committal at 13:30pm, Sutton Road Crematorium, Sutton Road, Southend-on-Sea, Essex SS2 5PX.
Following the Committal, all are welcome to join us at the wake , which will take place at Our Lady Help of Christians and St Helen Church Hall (situated behind the Church).
