Clara D’souza (nee Saldanha)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Clara D’souza.
Clara was born and grew up in Aden, where she was a teacher, she then moved to Mumbai to teach and met and married her late husband Edwin D’souza there. Clara moved to England in 1964 and settled in the South West London. She passed away peacefully on 21st Jan after a brief illness.
Clara was the daughter of Sant’Ana Benedict Francisco André Avelino de Saldanha and Anna Maria Candida Saldanha (nee D’Souza). Sister to the late Bruno Saldanha (Goa), late Bosco Saldanha (UK) and Braz Saldanha ( Australia). Clara is survived by her brother Braz Saldanha and her two children Clarissa and Terence D’souza.
Funeral will take place on 19th Feb.
Funeral Mass at 12:30PM at St Matthias’ Church, 201 Cheam Common Rd, Worcester Park, KT4 8SX.
Followed by burial at 2PM: Sutton Cemetery, Alcorn Close, Sutton, SM3 9PX
A wake to celebrate Clara’s life will then follow at St Matthias’ Church, 201 Cheam Common Rd, Worcester Park, KT4 8SX
