Joaquim Vincent D’Souza (Vince)
(7th January 1933 – 4th March 2026)
In loving memory of Joaquim Vincent D’souza, who sadly passed away on 4th March 2026.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vince, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife Helen, his children Lorraine, Sharon, Lloyd, Derek and Tracy, and his much‑beloved grandchildren Abigail and Amelia. His kindness, gentle nature, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew him.
Born in Goa, India, Vince was the third of seven children. His life’s journey took him from Goa to Nairobi, Kenya in 1948, and later to London in 1970, where he built a life rooted in family, hard work, and deep faith.
Those who knew Vince will remember his warm smile, his calm presence, and his fondness for a simple pleasure — a rum and coke at the end of the day. It was one of the many small joys that reflected his easy-going spirit and appreciation for life’s quieter moments.
A funeral service to honour Vince’s life will be held at St Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Bostall Park, 420A Long Lane, Bexleyheath, Kent, DA7 5JW, on Thursday 9th April 2026 at 11:30am, followed by a committal at Hill View Cemetery, Wickham Street, Welling, DA16 3DA.
For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed via the following link: https://www.youtube.com/@RCAOSStThomasMoreBostallPark
