AN APPEAL TO HELP A FELLOW GOAN
Dear friends
I am appealing to your generosity, as we are trying to raise funds to help with the cost of the cremation of Shamin Maria Dias, who passed away on 27 January 2021 at Croydon University Hospital. Shamin leaves behind a widower, who hails from Seraulim, Colva, and two children. Our target is to raise £2,207.00 to defray the cost of the funeral arrangements.
As with our previous appeals, we are hoping for a generous response from the Community at large but particularly, from the villagers of Seraulim, Colva. If you feel inclined to help, then please send your donations by cheque to the above address made payable to the Goan Welfare Society UK. If you are a taxpayer, please endorse your cheque on the back “gift aid” and give us your address.
Cash or cheque donations may be handed to any Trustee of the GWS (Flavio Gracias, Paul De Mendonca, Norma Menezes-Rahim, Alfred Rebello & Rosy De Souza) or to Fr Patrick De Souza, the Goan Chaplain or Jose Mendes in Southall/Hayes. If you use “on- line” banking, then you can pay direct into the GWS account (see details below). You can also make donations by “PayPal” through our website: www.goanwelfaresocietyuk.com.
May I convey my sincere thanks for your help and our best wishes to all for a peaceful Easter, despite the difficulties brought about by the dreadful Corona virus.
God bless & keep safe
